A woman lost ₹25,000 after her ATM card got stuck in a machine near Jhama Chowk in Chembur.
Most of us have experienced something similar, a slow machine, a failed transaction, a card that doesn't come out when it's supposed to. The natural assumption is that the ATM has malfunctioned.
That's what makes scams like these effective.
According to reports, the card had allegedly been trapped using a device placed inside the ATM. What looked like a technical issue was, in fact, the scam itself.

If your card gets stuck in an ATM, treat it as a security issue, not just a machine issue.
Don't leave the ATM immediately
Call the bank using the official number
Block the card if something feels unusual
