Happy Weekend Chembur Family.

Road concretisation work, desilting reviews, and sanitation inspections are currently underway across Chembur ahead of monsoon.

Before the rains arrive, neighbourhoods quietly enter preparation mode.

Drains get cleaned. Roads get reviewed. Garbage systems get checked. Because once heavy rain begins, everything comes under pressure together.

And for residents, the impact is immediate, flooded stretches, traffic delays, overflowing garbage points, and difficult commutes.

A lot of effort goes into preparing a locality before monsoon. But a locality functions better during monsoon only when preparation isn’t left only to civic work. Keeping common spaces cleaner, avoiding littering near drains, reporting visible issues early, and simply being more mindful of shared spaces during the rains, are things we residents can actively help with, that make a bigger difference than expected.

What Chembur looks like during monsoon depends on more than just the rain.
