Hello Chembur Family.
Great things happen when we stop waiting for momentum and start creating it. Momentum isn’t found, it’s built. Clarity doesn’t come from overthinking, it comes from movement. We don’t figure everything out before we begin. We begin, and the answers meet us along the way. Take the step. Adjust as needed. Keep moving.

RCF Police Station Anti-Terror Cell Cops Arrested for Theft and Extortion
An Assistant Police Inspector (API) and three constables attached to the Anti-Terrorism Cell of Chembur’s RCF police station have been arrested for allegedly stealing valuables and extorting money during raids. The team, led by API Vijay Sutar, reportedly stole ₹22 lakh in cash and 15 tolas of gold from a woman’s home in Navi Mumbai under the guise of a drive to locate illegal immigrants. Additionally, the same Chembur-based officials are accused of extorting ₹5 lakh from another woman in Kalyan. Following a complaint lodged with the help of a social worker, the accused officers have been taken into custody and suspended.
Shree Krishna Group Redefines Chembur Living with 'One Uttam' Gated Community
Real estate developer Shree Krishna Group (SKG) has launched One Uttam, a premium residential landmark set to transform the Chembur landscape with its rare 3.5-lakh-sq.-ft. large-format gated design. Located in the heart of the suburb on St. Anthony’s Road, the project features four elegant towers designed by renowned architect Sanjay Puri, offering spacious 2, 3, 4, and 6 BHK residences. Emphasizing a "community-first" approach for Chembur residents, the development integrates over 25 lifestyle amenities, including a pet park, swimming pools, and rooftop gardens, providing a sophisticated blend of old-world charm and modern luxury within one of the area's most prestigious new addresses.
Chembur Village to House 580 New Homes for Sanitation Workers under Ashray Yojana
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to significantly boost local housing infrastructure in Chembur by constructing 580 residential units for sanitation workers at Chembur Village on Lokhande Marg. Part of the Ashray Yojana Phase II, the project will be developed on CTS No. 788 and will feature 300-sq.-ft. apartments built using advanced pre-fabrication technology for rapid completion. The civic body has officially invited tenders for this "turnkey" project, which aims to provide dignified, high-quality housing for the city's essential workforce right within the Chembur locality.
Resale Homes in Chembur High Demand as Ready-to-Move Properties Outpace New Launches
In Chembur, resale homes have become the preferred choice for buyers looking to avoid the "double burden" of rent and EMIs, offering immediate possession in a market where under-construction projects often face delays. The suburb’s established social infrastructure—including landmarks like Diamond Garden, Sindhi Society, and the Chembur Golf Club—combined with the absence of GST on resale transactions, has made pre-owned flats a smarter financial move for local families and professionals. With average rates in prime pockets like Central Chembur and Union Park reaching up to ₹32,000 per sq. ft., the resale market is also benefiting from the massive influx of redevelopment, where older homes are being traded for modern lifestyle upgrades near the Eastern Freeway and Metro Line 2B.

Arjit, is also a Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Gold Medalist and an author.
Chembur Architecture Students Map Historic Marathwada Stepwells for Conservation
A dedicated team of 62 students and seven faculty members from Chembur Trombay Education Society’s (CTES) College of Architecture has undertaken a vital mission to document ancient stepwells, or baravs, across the Marathwada region. Led by lecturer Tanvi Joshi, the Chembur-based group is mapping these historic structures in Jalna, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Parbhani, and Buldhana to study their architectural and functional significance. By sharing their detailed findings with government authorities, these Chembur scholars are playing a pivotal role in the Maharashtra Baarav Mission, helping to trace and preserve heritage sites that have disappeared from modern maps.
Chembur Metro Station Fast-Tracked for April Launch to Boost Connectivity
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced that the Chembur metro station on Metro Line 2B will open to the public in April 2026, significantly ahead of its original 2027 timeline. Recognizing Chembur as a critical transit hub for the eastern suburbs, officials fast-tracked the station’s completion—now 80% ready—to ensure it integrates with the first operational phase of the Yellow Line. Once commissioned, this stretch will allow residents to travel between Mandale and Chembur in just 10–12 minutes, bypassing the heavy traffic on V N Purav Road and providing much-needed relief to daily commuters.
