Hello Chembur Family. Happy Holi! Wishing you a day filled with laughter and colors.
If the "next step" feels invisible, stop looking at the map and start looking at the traveler. Pursue your own healing, your own health, and your own peace. You don’t need to find the path, you just need to become the kind of person who is ready to walk it when it appears.

Chembur in the News
Copper Cable Theft Attempted on Chembur Monorail Stretch
A case has been registered at the RCF Police Station after thieves attempted to steal high-voltage copper cables from the Chembur section of the Monorail corridor. The incident took place along the Eastern Freeway between pillars 2B-57 and 2B-58, where suspects were spotted by patrolling traffic police while attempting to cut a 22KV armored cable. While the culprits fled the scene as officials approached, they caused significant damage to the infrastructure that feeds power from the Mysore Colony substation, leading to an investigation under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Chembur Emerges as Prime Destination for HNI Luxury Homebuyers
As High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs) shift their focus toward suburban Mumbai, Chembur has solidified its position as a top-tier luxury hub, offering a unique blend of "old-world" greenery and modern connectivity. The area's appeal is driven by its strategic link to BKC and South Mumbai via the Eastern Freeway and SCLR, coupled with a surge in premium gated communities that provide the space and exclusivity often lacking in traditional luxury pockets. With high-end projects now matching global standards, our neighborhood is increasingly seen as a smarter, long-term investment for affluent buyers who value tranquil, tree-lined residential zones alongside rapid capital appreciation.
Chembur Leads the Pack as Mumbai’s Top Investment Hub for 2026
Speaking at the first Ratan Tata Memorial Lecture held at the TISS campus in Deonar, Godrej Industries Chairperson Nadir Godrej emphasized that while India’s traditional knowledge is profound, it must be validated by modern science to gain global standing. Responding to local scholars' questions on "Indianising" knowledge systems, Godrej argued that instead of shunning Western innovation, India should use rigorous scientific methods to prove the value of its ancient Vedic sciences. The discussion, held at the heart of the neighborhood's premier educational hub, highlighted the need for local research institutions to bridge the gap between historical heritage and future-ready evidence.
Chembur Schools Put Up Brave Fight in MSSA Knockouts
While powerhouse teams from Fort and Juhu dominated the headlines, Chembur’s young athletes made their presence felt with gritty performances in the Dream Sports-MSSA Inter-School football tournament. In the Boys' U-16 Division III category, St. Gregorios (Chembur) fought a hard-balanced battle against Don Bosco (Borivali), ultimately falling 1-2 in a closely contested match. Meanwhile, St. Anthony’s (Chembur) showed defensive resilience in their knockout fixture against Holy Family (Andheri), taking the game to a goalless draw in regulation time before narrowly missing out 2-3 in the penalty shootout.
Chembur’s Sat Sri Akaal Welfare Trust Entrusted with Sacred Customs Articles
In a significant gesture of communal respect, Sardar Puran Singh Banga, Secretary of the Chembur-based Sat Sri Akaal Welfare Trust, officially received 35 unclaimed kirpans from the Mumbai Airport Customs department. These sacred items, along with other religious mementos left behind by international travelers, were handed over to our local trust after remaining unclaimed for an extended period. By partnering with the Chembur community, Customs officials ensured that these articles would be handled according to religious protocols, rather than being caught up in standard disposal procedures.
Tragic Construction Collapse in Subhash Nagar Leaves One Dead, Five Injured
Tragedy struck a Chembur East construction site at Building No. 36, Subhash Nagar, where a platform collapse claimed the life of 55-year-old Ramallu and left five other workers injured. The incident occurred at the Adityaraj Springs project during the installation of a car lift; despite a safety net being present on the fifth floor, it failed to prevent the fatal plunge of the workers from the floor above. Chembur Police have since booked the developer's team, including the contractor and site engineer for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, citing a lethal lack of safety harnesses and oversight at the local project.
Sporting Legends to Descend on Chembur’s BPGC for Gavaskar’s Charity Golf
A massive lineup of Indian sporting icons is hitting the Bombay Presidency Golf Club (BPGC) this Friday for an 18-hole charity tournament organized by Sunil Gavaskar. The event is bringing over 100 big names to our local greens, including Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Leander Paes, and Prakash Padukone, vall to raise funds for the CHAMPS Foundation, which supports former international athletes in financial or medical need.
Air Quality Hits "Moderate" as Summer Heat Settles In
Residents across Chembur have seen a slight shift in air quality this week, with the local AQI settling into the 'Moderate' category as we head into March. After a brief spike that saw levels hit 194 AQI during morning hours over the weekend, current readings at Collector Colony and Chembur Gaothan are hovering between 115 and 140. While this is an improvement from the "Poor" conditions seen earlier in the month, the rising heat and humidity with temperatures hitting 34°C, are keeping the air heavy, particularly for sensitive groups in the neighborhood. Local monitoring stations suggest that while the current levels are manageable, the typical early-March "haze" is likely to stick around as the summer season officially kicks off.
