Hello Chembur Family.

The real luxuries in life aren't found in a store, but in the stillness of a purposeful existence. They are the slow mornings, the freedom to choose, and the quiet sanctuary of a good night's sleep. True wealth is peace of mind, the beauty of calm and boring days, and the ability to be fully present. Above all, it is the simple grace of having people you love and people who love you back.

Chembur in the News

  • HC shuts down second land claim in Chembur housing dispute

A redevelopment dispute between Swastik Chambers Owners’ Cooperative Society Ltd. and Corporate Park Business Premises Cooperative Society Ltd. has been decisively closed after the Bombay High Court struck down a second deemed conveyance order. The court ruled that once conveyance is granted and finalized, authorities cannot reopen proceedings to alter or expand land rights. This means the original 2019 conveyance remains valid, while the 2020 order and subsequent conveyance in favour of Corporate Park were quashed. The court also imposed ₹50,000 in personal costs on the official responsible, calling the move beyond jurisdiction and unjustified.

  • First day on the job ends in fatal fall at Subhash Nagar building

A 52-year-old Chembur resident lost his life on his very first day as a security guard after falling from a fifth-floor platform while inspecting an elevator parking system at a residential building in Subhash Nagar. The incident happened around 7 am when he reportedly lost balance and plunged to the ground floor. He was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Police have registered an accidental death report and begun an investigation into the circumstances of the fall.

  • Metro work mess triggers protest at Swastik Chambers, clean-up follows

Employees at Swastik Chambers protested against the poor conditions caused by ongoing Metro work around the commercial building, forcing the concerned authorities to step in. The workers flagged that the construction activity had led to unhygienic surroundings, disrupting daily operations. Following the protest, a clean-up was carried out, addressing the immediate issues raised.

  • Metro finally opens: Mankhurd to Chembur now a 20-minute ride

The long-awaited Metro Line 2B stretch is now operational, cutting travel time between Mankhurd and Chembur to just around 20 minutes. This first phase, covering key stations like Mandale, Mankhurd and Diamond Garden, is expected to ease daily congestion on busy routes and offer a faster alternative to road travel. Ticket fares are expected to stay in the ₹10 to ₹80 range, making it an accessible option for regular commuters now shifting to the metro.

  • Clear skies and moderate AQI

Chembur saw clear blue skies and light winds through the morning, with air quality staying in the moderate range at an AQI of 76. Conditions remained comfortable overall, though the usual heat persisted, making it a relatively stable start to the day without any major weather disruptions.
