Students from Shree Narayan Acharya Vidyaniketan successfully represented India at the 14th Acrobatic Gymnastics Asian Championships, which took place in Goa from October 31 to November 2. The Chembur school had nineteen students on the Indian team, with one standout gymnast, Sanvi Vivek Shinde, along with her partner, winning three silver medals in the mixed pair category (Balance Routine, Dynamic Routine, and Combined Routine). The students had prepared for the event by attending an intense national training camp in Goa since October 12, balancing their academics and rigorous training schedule.

😷Chembur Records Poor Air Quality as Mumbai's AQI Dips to Moderate

While Mumbai's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at a moderate 64, giving the city clear skies and fresher air, the Chembur monitoring station registered the highest AQI at 113, placing the locality in the poor category. ✅ Chembur Property Auction Deadline Extended by BMC to November 6

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has extended the deadline for the e-auction of two high-value properties, including one in Chembur, to November 6, following the settlement of property tax dues by two other defaulters. The property cleared for auction in Chembur is a 3,000 sq m land parcel owned by the Housing Commissioner of Bombay with a base value of ₹37 crore and is being auctioned to recover long-standing property tax arrears. The total expected revenue from the auction of the two remaining properties (Chembur and Kalbadevi) is approximately ₹63 crore.

The directive, issued during a recent meeting by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), emphasizes the need for comprehensive and independent consideration of the monorail and metro networks within the city's overall emergency management strategy and calls for periodic mock drills to enhance response readiness.

High-tech security cameras installed at a residence in Sarvodaya Estate, Chembur, played a crucial role in enabling the Chembur Police to arrest a burglar, identified as Nikhil Anil Kamble from Vashinaka, in the early hours of October 26. The homeowner's son received a mobile alert indicating movement inside the house, despite the family being at their other Chembur residence in Postal Colony Road. Upon reaching the spot and confirming the break-in through a partially broken kitchen window, the family immediately alerted the police, who, with the help of the fire brigade, broke open the main door to find and apprehend the accused hiding inside.
